Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SlideShare Downloader free? Everything you need to know
Free forever with no account and no watermark
How do I download a SlideShare presentation?

Copy the presentation link, paste it into the box at the top of this page, press Get slides, then choose PDF, PPTX, JPG or text. The file is saved straight to your device.

Is it free?

Yes. SlideSaver is free with no daily cap, no account and no watermark. The site is kept running by light advertising.

Do I need a SlideShare, Scribd or LinkedIn login?

No. If a presentation is public on SlideShare, you can save it here without signing in anywhere.

Which formats can I download?

PDF for reading and printing, PPTX for PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote, a ZIP of JPG images (one per slide), and a plain-text file of the slide text when SlideShare has it.

Can I edit the PPTX file?

Each slide comes in as a full-size picture, so you can reorder, delete, annotate or add new slides. The original text boxes are not editable, but the slide text is placed in the speaker notes so you can copy it.

What quality do I get?

HD by default, which is the largest size SlideShare publishes (usually 2048 pixels wide). You can switch to SD for smaller files.

Can I download only some slides?

Yes. Untick slides in the preview or type a range like 1-5, 9 and press Enter. You can also save any single slide as a JPG.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser. On iPhone, files go to the Files app or your Downloads folder in Safari.

Why does it say the presentation is private?

The uploader has made it private or restricted. We cannot and will not get around that. Ask the author for a copy.

Do you store my files or links?

No. Slides are fetched on demand and your file is built inside your own browser. We do not keep copies or a history of links.

Can I download SlideShare videos?

No. Only slide decks and documents are supported.

Is this tool affiliated with SlideShare?

No. SlideSaver is an independent tool and is not linked to SlideShare, Scribd or LinkedIn.

Is it legal to download SlideShare presentations?

Saving a public deck for personal study is generally treated as fair use in many countries, but copyright stays with the author. Do not resell, republish or remove credits. When in doubt, ask the author. See our guide on legality.

The download is not working. What should I do?

Check that the link opens a single public presentation, copy it again from the address bar rather than from search results, refresh the page and try again. Our Help Center lists every common fix.

How long does it take?

Reading the deck takes a second or two. Building the file depends on the number of slides and your connection; a 50-slide deck in HD usually finishes in under a minute.

Is there a limit on slides or downloads?

There is no download limit. Very large decks (200+ slides) work but use more memory, so a laptop is easier than an older phone.

Why is the file named after the presentation?

So you never have to rename a pile of random numbered files. The name comes from the deck title on SlideShare.

Can I download several presentations at once?

One deck at a time keeps quality high. When one finishes, paste the next link; there is no waiting period.

Do you add watermarks?

Never. You get the slides exactly as SlideShare shows them.

Can I use it for Scribd documents?

Documents uploaded to SlideShare work. Scribd.com itself is not supported yet.

What kind of presentations can I download?

Public SlideShare and public Speaker Deck talks. Private, deleted or login-only content is not supported.

Is it safe to use?

Yes if you stick to public decks and reputable browser tools. SlideSaver does not ask for SlideShare passwords. See our safety guide.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in a modern web browser.

Will the download keep its original quality?

We request the largest public slide images available and let you choose HD or SD when SlideShare exposes multiple sizes.
